French 75

Our stunning Vienna Woods French 75 boards are sourced from Slow Grown FSC-certified Lithuanian oak.

The extreme cold winters in Lithuania slows the growth of the oak to produce a very hard, dense wood.

While other sizes are available, the most popular 220mm wide, 20mm thick boards feature a generous 6mm oak top layer. The wide and extra long oak boards up to 2400mm bring a grand ambiance to any interior.

This floor is available in 180mm and 220mm wide planks and also a 600 x 120mm herringbone.

Available in a matt lacquer or hard-wax oil finish. Finished in New Zealand by local artisans.

This board gets its name from the punchy French 75 Cocktail. Dating back to World War I, an early rendition was created in 1915 at the New York Bar in Paris. It was later refined by Harry’s New York’s barman Harry MacElhone.  The drink is said to have such a punch to it that it felt like being hit with a French 75 field gun.
