This privacy policy sets out how Vienna Woods Ltd (“us”, “we” or “our”) (including our successors and assignees) use and protect any information that you give us including when you use this website.
We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected in accordance with the requirements of the Privacy Act 2020. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
Information we collect
When you subscribe to our ‘Newsletter’ or sign up for an ‘Account’ we collect personal information about you. During the course of dealing with you, we may also collect personal information about you, such as your name, address, phone number and email (contact details). We may also request other specific information from you relating to the goods or services that you wish to obtain.
How we use your information
By registering your details on our website or by providing information to us, you consent to us receiving, maintaining, recording, holding and using personal data collected about you. We may use this information in order to provide and market existing and future products and services to you and keep you informed of developments or opportunities in areas or activities you have previously expressed interested in or we believe you may be interested in. Communication may be made to you by post, phone, email or text or via social media.
If you would prefer not to receive emails or other communications from us there is an unsubscribe link on all our newsletters, email and text messages.
Referrals to a local partner
If there is a Vienna Woods showroom or flooring retailer near you, we may pass your name, contact details and enquiry to that local partner so they can help you directly with your flooring enquiry, show you the floors and samples in person, and give you local advice. We ask our partners to use your details only to help with the enquiry we have referred to them, and not for any other purpose. If you would prefer we did not pass your enquiry to a local partner, just tell us when you make your enquiry, or contact us using the details in this policy, and we will keep it with our own team.
Website statistics and cookies
We may provide statistics about website traffic, website use, demand for relevant products and services and related website information to third parties. Any such statistics will not include any information which identifies you personally.
We use ‘cookies’ placed in the browser file to help us collect general information about the behaviour of visitors on our site. This helps us to constantly monitor and improve our website’s functionality and personality.
Payments
We accept credit card payments using the Paymark Click payment gateway to complete your purchase. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).
Access, correction and contact

Storing your information and overseas providers
We use third-party service providers to run our business, including our customer relationship system, email, website hosting and payment gateway. Some of these providers store or process information outside New Zealand. Where we disclose personal information to a provider overseas, we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that it is subject to safeguards comparable to those in the Privacy Act 2020.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy, or for as long as we are required to keep it by law. When we no longer need it, we securely delete it or remove the details that identify you.
If something goes wrong
If a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, as required by the Privacy Act 2020.
