Textured oak is about the surface, not the colour. The face of the board is brushed or worked so the grain stands proud — you read the timber with your fingertips as much as your eyes. It is the opposite of a flat, uniform floor.

From a light brush to a heavy, hand-worked face. A light brushing opens the grain just enough to give the floor some life underfoot. A heavier texture pulls out the soft grain and leaves a deeper, more rustic surface with real movement across the board. Both keep the natural character of European oak on show.

A floor that suits a relaxed, lived-in room. A textured surface reads as warm and honest rather than showroom-perfect, and it sits comfortably in a busy family home or a pared-back, quiet interior alike. Paired with an oiled or a matte finish, the grain stays open and tactile.
