Made for lacquered and sealed floors
These products are for a lacquered, varnished or sealed finish, the kind with a clear film over the timber. They are not for oiled or waxed floors, where the surface oils stop them working. - Sweep or vacuum first. Grit is what scratches a lacquered finish.
- Damp-mop with a pH-neutral wood-floor cleaner. Wring the mop well; never flood the floor.
- When the floor looks dull, deep-clean to strip the old build-up, then lay a fresh maintenance coat.
- Felt pads under furniture and a mat at the door cut down the grit coming in.
