Ciranova Hard Floor Cleaner is a strongly alkaline concentrate built for lacquered and varnished floors. On an oiled or waxed floor that same alkalinity strips the finish and damages it. If you are not certain what finish your floor has, test on a small out-of-the-way patch first and let it dry before doing the whole floor.
Old polish and ground-in grease dull a lacquered floor over time. A deep clean lifts it off and leaves a clean, sound surface ready for a fresh maintenance coat.
Over time a lacquered floor picks up a dull film — old maintenance polish, grease and ground-in marks that a normal clean no longer shifts. This is the concentrate that cuts through it.
It removes old polish layers, including Ciranova Hard Floor Polish and Unicare X-Matt, and degreases in one pass. That leaves a clean surface ready for a fresh maintenance coat. Because it is strongly alkaline it belongs on lacquered and varnished floors only.
Dilute one part cleaner to ten parts lukewarm water for general grease and marks, or one to five to strip old polish. Rinse with clean water and let the floor dry.
The high pH is what cuts old maintenance polish and grease off a lacquered floor. It is also exactly why it must never go on an oiled or waxed floor — it would strip those finishes.
