Antique Floors reclaimed and aged French oak flooring in an interior

Antique FloorsReclaimed & aged French oak

“A floor with a past.”

Antique Floors is our reclaimed and aged French oak collection. Wide, heavily textured boards with the look of a floor that has been down for a century — some genuinely reclaimed, some aged and worked from European oak to the same rich, rustic character. It is the floor for a project that wants age and depth, not a fresh, uniform finish.

Texture you can feel. Every board is heavily textured — band-sawn, hand-gouged, brushed or thermally treated — so the surface has real relief and the grain catches the light. Tones run from pale natural and soft driftwood grey through warm mid-browns to deep, near-black thermally treated oak.

Wide boards, made to order. Boards are wide and vary in size — roughly 100 to 300mm wide and up to 2.8 metres long — in solid or engineered build depending on the line. Antique Floors is made to order; allow around 4–5 months, and it is also available as chevron and herringbone parquet.

Textures & finishes

Antique Floors is a family of textures, not one board. Each line is worked differently — reclaimed, aged, brushed or thermally treated — to the same wide, rustic character.

A history in the surface

Antique Floors is about texture and age. Depending on the line, the surface is band-sawn, hand-gouged, brushed or thermally treated, and finished anywhere from raw and natural to oiled or lacquered. Each board is worked individually, so the floor reads as genuinely old rather than machine-uniform.

Common questions

Is Antique Floors reclaimed?

Some lines are genuinely reclaimed French oak; others are aged and worked from European oak to the same character. We describe each on its product page.

Is it in stock?

Antique Floors is made to order. Allow around 4–5 months, and talk to us early about quantities and board sizes for a project.

Can I get it as parquet?

Yes — chevron and herringbone are available to order. As a reclaimed and aged, natural timber product, variation in colour, grain, texture and board size is normal and part of the look.
