This is a cleaner for a floor whose finish is still sound. It lifts everyday dirt and keeps a finished floor looking its best, but it won’t repair or restore a finish that’s worn through. If the floor looks dull or scuffed in the coating itself, reach for a maintenance polish (lacquered floors) or a maintenance oil (oiled floors) — the cleaner is for keeping a sound floor clean.

Spray, mop, done
- Sweep or vacuum up loose dirt and grit first, so you’re not dragging it across the floor.
- Spray a light, even mist straight from the bottle, or fill a Bona spray mop and pull the trigger as you go — no diluting, no bucket.
- Mop with a well-wrung microfibre pad, working with the grain. The floor should look barely damp, never wet.
- It dries in a few minutes with no rinsing — no streaks, no dulling residue.

- Use strongly alkaline or abrasive cleaners — they can damage the finish.
- Expect it to restore a worn finish; that’s a job for polish or oil.
