Admonter Clean & Care is the everyday concentrate for oiled and matt-lacquered timber floors. You mix it yourself — 100 ml into 10 litres of water — and one litre makes up to 100 litres of cleaner, so a bottle lasts. It lifts everyday dirt without stripping the finish or leaving a film, as long as you keep the mop damp, not wet.

Keep the mop damp, not wet
This suits oiled and matt-lacquered timber floors — not waxed floors. Wood and water don’t mix, so wring the mop out well and never flood the boards. Use the two-bucket method — one bucket to wash, one to rinse — so you’re not spreading dirty water back over a clean floor. If you’re not sure what finish your floor has, test a small, out-of-the-way area first.
Everyday care
The regular clean that keeps grit from grinding in
A weekly or fortnightly damp-mop lifts the dust and footmarks before they wear a floor down — mixed to strength, used damp, rinsed clean.

What it’s for
Everyday care for a timber floor
This is the cleaner for regular upkeep — the weekly or fortnightly clean that stops grit and grime grinding into an oiled or matt-lacquered floor. It cleans without stripping the finish or leaving a dull film behind.
It’s a concentrate, so you mix it yourself: 100 ml into 10 litres of warm water, a 1:100 mix. One litre makes up to 100 litres of ready-to-use cleaner, which is why a bottle lasts most homes a long time.
Dilution
100ml per 10 L
A capful makes a bucket
100 ml of concentrate into 10 litres of warm water — a 1:100 mix. Measure it rather than eyeballing it; too strong and it can leave a film.
Goes a long way
100litres per bottle
One litre, a season of cleans
At 1:100, a single litre makes up to 100 litres of cleaner. Most homes get through a long run of weekly mops on one bottle.
How to use
Mix, mop, rinse
Sweep or vacuum first. Loose grit is what scratches a floor, so lift it before any water goes down.
Mix 100 ml of Clean and Care into 10 litres of warm water — a 1:100 mix.
Set up two buckets, one with the cleaning mix and one with clean rinse water. Use a well-wrung cotton mop, not microfibre, and mop with the grain. Rinse the mop in the second bucket as you go so you never spread dirty water.
Keep the mop damp, never wet — the floor should be nearly dry behind you. Let it air-dry.
Stick with a cotton mop rather than microfibre for these floors, and always dilute — never use it neat.
When to reach for it
Reach for it when
It’s time for the weekly or fortnightly clean on an oiled or matt-lacquered floor.
You want one cleaner for the whole floor, mixed to strength and used damp.
The floor looks dull from everyday dust and footmarks — not from wear that needs re-oiling.
Aftercare
Keeping it looking its best
Do
Wring the mop out well — damp, not wet.
Use two buckets so your rinse water stays clean.
Sweep or vacuum before you mop.
Deal with spills quickly, with a damp cloth.
Don’t
Don’t flood the floor or leave standing water.
Don’t use microfibre — stick with a cotton mop.
Don’t use it neat — always dilute to 1:100.
Don’t use steam mops, wax or all-purpose sprays on a timber floor.
