Monaco by Sojo Design // Wide European Planks with Natural Texture

Monaco is the latest addition to our Icons Collection—an ode to creative sophistication and the timeless elegance of its namesake.

Created in collaboration with SOJO Design, Monaco reflects the calm luxury of the Mediterranean enclave that has long inspired architects, artists, and tastemakers. Its soft oak tone was carefully developed to strike a balance between warmth and neutrality—avoiding yellow hues while retaining a natural lightness that suits both classic and modern interiors.

Crafted from European oak with a heavier-than-standard brushed texture, Monaco highlights the beauty of the timber’s natural grain. Planks are generously proportioned at 220mm wide and up to 2.2 metres long, giving a sense of scale and flow in any space. The light feature grade includes small, infrequent knots—adding visual interest without overwhelming the calm palette. Each knot is filled with a complimentary tone, preserving the natural look while maintaining surface refinement.

SOJO Design is a boutique interior studio led by Julie Rees and Amelia Budd, known for creating elevated yet approachable interiors. Julie brings timeless refinement, while Amelia adds a fresh, thoughtful perspective—together, they craft spaces that balance texture, proportion, and calm sophistication.

Monaco is finished in a specialised European super-matt lacquer.  This flooring provides both durability and a raw, natural aesthetic—bringing quiet confidence to refined interiors. It is also available in a matching herringbone format, made in the same factory to ensure perfect synchrony between board types.
