Frida Oak Flooring by Lesley Bros

Frida is part of our Icons Collection  — a tribute to expressive design and the emotive power of colour.

Created in collaboration with Auckland-based interior designer Lesley Bros, Frida reflects the richness and warmth that define her work. Inspired by the bold, personal style of artist Frida Kahlo, this colour was designed to evoke feeling — warm without heaviness, characterful without being overpowering. The tone carries a quiet energy, offering a grounded yet expressive backdrop for both contemporary and character-filled interiors.

Crafted from European oak with a heavier brushed texture, Frida brings natural grain patterns to life, adding movement and depth to every plank. Boards are generously sized at 220mm wide and up to 2.2 metres long, creating visual continuity across larger spaces. A light feature grade adds subtle interest — with small, well-placed knots filled in complementary tones to preserve a natural, refined finish.

Lesley Bros is the founder of Lesley Bros Interiors and a 2024 HOME Magazine Interior of the Year finalist, recognised for her thoughtful use of colour and her ability to create spaces that support busy lives. Her approach to interiors is rooted in warmth, functionality and soul — qualities that informed every decision in developing this colourway.

Frida is finished in a high-performance European super-matt lacquer, offering durability and a low-sheen, natural appearance that suits modern living.
