Designer: Lesley Bros, Auckland-based interior designer and founder of Lesley Bros Interiors, recognised for her expressive use of colour and her ability to create warm, functional spaces that support everyday living.
Frida Oak is an engineered European oak timber floor created in collaboration with Lesley Bros as part of the ICONS Collection. Inspired by the bold, personal style of artist Frida Kahlo, this colourway is warm and expressive while remaining balanced and grounded.
The tone carries depth without heaviness, offering a confident yet restrained backdrop for both contemporary and character-filled interiors. A heavier brushed surface enhances the natural grain of the oak, bringing texture and movement to each plank.
Manufactured with wide planks and long lengths, Frida Oak creates visual continuity across open-plan spaces. A light feature grade introduces subtle natural variation, with small knots carefully filled to maintain a refined, cohesive appearance.
Finished with a high-performance European super-matt lacquer, Frida Oak delivers durability alongside a low-sheen, natural timber look suited to modern living.
