Oak Metz
Oak Metz is an engineered European oak floor defined by its refined smoked tone, subtle colour variation, and lightly textured surface. The smoking process introduces soft grey undertones that balance the natural warmth of the oak, resulting in a calm, versatile finish.
The surface is gently hand-finished to create a smooth, tactile feel underfoot while maintaining a natural timber appearance. This treatment enhances the grain structure without introducing heavy surface relief, making the floor well suited to contemporary residential interiors.
Oak Metz is finished with a natural oil that penetrates the timber and supports long-term maintenance and repairability. The oil finish preserves the timber’s open-grain character while providing durable surface protection.
The engineered construction provides enhanced dimensional stability and is suitable for New Zealand conditions. When correctly specified, this floor is compatible with underfloor heating.
Oak Metz is made to order and available in a range of engineered formats, including standard plank, wide plank, herringbone, and chevron. Board width, thickness, knot grade, and bevel detail can be specified to suit individual project requirements.
