Blackbutt Engineered Timber Flooring
Blackbutt is one of Australia’s best-loved hardwoods — a warm, golden-honey timber with the occasional gum vein or knot that gives every floor its own character. Our Blackbutt is an engineered board — a genuine 3mm Blackbutt hardwood wear layer over a multi-ply core, engineered overseas to Vienna Woods’ specification, finished in an extra-matt, light-brushed lacquer.
Engineered boards are more dimensionally stable than solid timber, so they cope better with New Zealand’s humidity swings. See the Specification tab for the full board detail.

As a natural timber product, some variation in colour, tone and grain between boards — and against samples and on-screen images — is normal and to be expected.
