Quick Specification Overview
A concise reference for architects and specifiers assessing compliance, performance and suitability for New Zealand projects.
Product Type
Engineered European Oak flooring — multi-layer construction for dimensional stability, suitable for residential and commercial applications.
NZBC / Compliance
Suitable for use in buildings designed under NZBC clauses B2 (Durability), E3 (Internal Moisture) and F2 (Hazardous Building Materials) when installed as per our requirements.
Substrates & Installation
Glue-down installation on concrete, plywood or particleboard. Moisture control and substrate flatness requirements follow NZ standards and industry best practice.
Acoustic Performance
Acoustic ratings depend on underlay selection and construction build-up. Contact us for tested systems suitable for multi-residential projects.
Wear Layers & Formats
3–6mm wear layers across 15–21mm total thickness. Wide planks, herringbone and parquet formats available for coordinated specification.
Environmental Credentials
FSC® Certified options, verified indoor air quality compliance, and European manufacturing under strict environmental controls.
NZBC E3 & Moisture Compliance
Clause E3 of the New Zealand Building Code governs internal moisture in wet areas such as kitchens, laundries and bathrooms. Timber flooring systems were removed from E3/AS1 in 2021, which means engineered wood floors must now be specified via an Alternative Solution (E3/AS2) to meet council consent requirements.
Our engineered oak flooring systems have been independently tested for impermeability, dimensional stability and resistance to internal moisture. We provide full documentation — including Product Technical Statements (BPIR), CodeMark certification and test reports — to support building consent applications under E3.
- E3-compliant installation methods for kitchens and laundries
- CodeMark-certified overlay systems for Alternative Solution compliance
- SGS moisture impermeability test data available on request
- Guidance on substrate sealing and waterproof membranes
