Château Micheline

Château collection
What to know before you order
Where it can go
Yes: living areas, bedrooms, hallways, domestic kitchens and laundries. In a kitchen or laundry it must be laid to the Vienna Woods wet-area detail — a flexible perimeter sealant and sealed joints within 1.5 m of any sanitary fixture. Ask us for the detail before you install. No: bathrooms with a shower or bath, saunas, garages, commercial kitchens, or outdoors.
Underfloor heating
Suitable over underfloor heating, subject to a maximum surface temperature of 27 °C.
Availability
Most Château colours are held in stock in Auckland; some are end-of-line and will not be repeated. Confirm the colour you want is available before you specify it.
Looking after it
Use Vienna Woods-approved cleaning and maintenance products for a lacquered floor — an oil or oil-soap product must not be used on it. Keep indoor humidity between 40–60% where practical; improper maintenance may affect durability.

As a natural timber product, some variation in grain, tone and knots between boards is normal, and that is part of the character of real oak.

Our team can assist with selecting a similar floor from our current collections.

Oak Micheline is an engineered European oak floor with a sophisticated deep grey tone softened by a subtle brown undertone. The colour has depth and warmth, making it well suited to both contemporary architectural spaces and refined residential interiors.

This floor is part of the Château collection, defined by its extra-wide 240mm planks that create a strong sense of scale and visual openness. The oak reads as subtly aged, with character and tonal variation that does not overpower the grain.

Oak Micheline is supplied in a rustic grade with medium to large knot variation. Natural colour and grain variation are a deliberate feature, reinforcing the individuality and authenticity of each board.

The surface is finished with a UV lacquer that preserves the timber’s texture while providing dependable durability for residential and specified commercial environments.

Herringbone and chevron formats are also available in the same colour, subject to lead time. Pre-finished stair nosings are available to ensure a cohesive finish across levels.
